Solid Wood Siding
Solid wood siding from unique American species that time has forgotten. All offer wonderful color and grain detail and flexibility for finishing options, including bare wood, clear oil, staining, or painting. We stock the following siding profiles: T&G Square Edge, V-Groove, Shiplap Flush, and Nickel Gap.
Black Walnut in its natural, un-steamed, state reveals a range of colors including dark browns, purples, and white spa wood streaks. The wood is porous and can accept multiple coats of finish. #1 Common grade provides more grain detail and natural appearance.
Sassafras is extremely easy to work with and stain, with unique grain patterns. The whitish cream wood will oxidize naturally to a mocha brown. We provide #1 Common grade (for more grain detail and natural appearance); and Rustic (with unique natural defects around the branching and sapwood for a unique look).
Black Locust is one of the hardest and most rot resistant woods. Great for where moisture or scratching is an issue. The wood starts out blonde and quickly oxidizes to a light amber hue. The grain combines an exotic mix of straight grain and tight knots. It can be oiled or painted, but is hard to stain due to its tight cell structure. We offer a live edge siding in a #1 Common grade that optimizes for grain detail and natural appearance.
